Sizing – Redemption Dog Clothing Co.

Here at Redemption Dog Shop, we offer two sizing options.

Smaller breed dog shirts (size S - XXL) and larger breed dog shirts (size XXL - 4XL).

Smaller breed dog shirts usually fit dogs up to about 25-30 lbs. If your dog is over 30-35 lbs. you will probably need to check out the larger breed shirt options. The only way to ensure proper size is selected is to compare your dog's measurements to the shirt's size chart shown in the item's images.

Note: Our smaller breed dog shirts are sized smaller than your average pet store sizes. Please make sure you compare your dog's measurements to the size chart for the shirt you plan on purchasing. The size charts vary slightly depending on shirt style. We cannot be responsible for incorrect measuring or size selection.

GENERAL SIZING (please also measure your pet and compare to size chart, use "How To Measure Your Pet" instructions below. Do not select size based on this weigh chart alone because all dogs vary in build.):

LARGE: 10-14 LBS
XL: 14-19 LBS
XXL: 20-35 LBS
3XL: 40-65 LBS
4XL: 65-90+ LBS

If your dog is over 30-35 lbs, please check out the larger breed dog shirts.

How to Measure Your Pet:

  • Please take the chest circumference, neck circumference and length measurements and compare them to the size chart.
  • It's best to leave a little "wiggle room", especially in the chest circumference.
  • If you're in between sizes, it's best to size up.
  • Most shirts have a little stretch to them.

Length: Measure from the base of the tail (where it connects to their bum) up to where the collar typically sits at the base of the neck.

Chest Circumference: Straddle your pet, take a measurement tape and measure the entire circumference (all the way around) at the widest point of your pet's chest. This is typically right behind the front legs.

Neck Circumference: Next measure the neck's circumference (the distance around it) at the point where the collar sits.

How to take your dog's measurements

Tip: If you don't have soft/flexible measurement tape, but do have a standard ruler or rigid measurement tape, you use a string or a rope to get the chest & neck circumference and then lay the rope next to the rigid measurement tape/ruler to obtain the circumference in inches.

Important Sizing Note: Each size chart's measurements are the dimensions of the actual product, not of the pet they fit. After measuring your pet, make sure all measurements fit within the following dimensions (with a little wiggle room to spare in the chest and neck).
